Service Terms & Handling Policy
- Intake review: At drop-off and pickup, the client agrees to review and count their originals. A written or verbal quantity estimate will be noted.
- Scope of responsibility: Pokey Image Services is responsible only for items actually received and scanned. We are not responsible for items not included in the delivered batch or not presented at intake.
- Reporting window: Any concerns about missing items must be reported within 48 hours of return.
- Condition of materials: Pre-existing damage (tears, fading, stuck photos, brittle prints, or adhesive residue) is not our liability. We handle materials carefully and use non-destructive methods when possible.
- Limited liability: In the unlikely event of loss or damage while in our possession, liability is limited to the cost of the service for the affected items.
- Data delivery: Clients are responsible for backing up delivered digital files. We retain copies temporarily for delivery verification only.
